A Message from the Head of Department

Since one out of four people suffers from a disease, and as a result of the increase in average life expectancy, and consequently the increase of elderly population, physiotherapists are required to involve in each branch of medicine, which in turn increases the need for physiotherapists. We aim to provide the students of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation with a qualified and comprehensive education as well as develop academic research and projects, prepare education programmes, and organise seminars and conferences. We are planning to educate healthcare personnel endowed with the knowledge and skills essential for administering physiotherapy in health institutions, physiotherapy units, and the private sector. 

Graduates of this department can work in public or private health institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Health that have inpatient or outpatient services, rehabilitation centres, public or private health institutions affiliated to Universities that have inpatient or outpatient services, nursing homes, spa and cure centres, and hotels in health tourism industry.
