Educational Objectives

The Department of Child Development aims to educate prospective skilled child development professionals who: 

  • Are equipped with 21st-century skills,
  • Are interested in lifelong learning,
  • Have a heightened sensitivity in social services,
  • Are always open to questioning, attach importance to scientific ethics, and have critical thinking skills,
  • Treat children and their parents with love and respect, show them great interest and tolerance and appreciate them,
  • Follow the multiple intelligence theory to provide children with an educational atmosphere helping them learn through experience,
  • Support the development of children in 0-18 age and those in 0-6 age group showing normal development and as well as those with special needs,
  • Offer a supportive theoretical and practical educational plan, and therefore serve children, families, educationists, and society,
  • Prepare materials necessary for children’s habits and needs, have the skills and knowledge required to meet children’s needs, and take precautions against potential problems.
