KNOWLEDGE

Theoretical - Factual

Students:

  • Have sufficient knowledge to meet the healthcare needs of individuals, families, and community with an individual and holistic perspective. 
  • Have the skills to provide nursing for health protection and improvement in case of health deviation.  

SKILLS

Cognitive – Applied 

Students:

  • Have general knowledge required to be a modern individual and a member of the profession.
  • Practise nursing care based on the scientific research, indications, the developing technology, and the current health policies.
  • Practice the profession in accordance with professional ethics and standards.
  • Use their skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making in nursing care.

COMPETENCES

Competence of Working Independently and Taking Responsibility

Students:

  • Train and counsel individuals, families, and community.
  • Follow the administrative activities individually or as a team member for their administrative role.
  • Take part in researches, projects and activities in collaboration with other health teams and departments with the sense of social responsibility. 

Competence of Learning

Students:

  • Consult the international literature about the nursing field using their foreign language skills and communicate in a foreign language both orally and in writing.
  • Adopt a perspective that embraces the idea of lifelong learning and being open for improvement.

Students:

  • Communicate both orally and in writing.

Students:

P.O.1. Define the fundamental theories of the nursing profession and its professional roles and functions.

P.O.2. Analyse the healthcare needs of individuals, families, and communities in accordance with the nursing process.    

P.O.3. Evaluate scientific and current evidence-based information for integration into patient care.

P.O.4. Provide nursing care in accordance with ethical principles, legal regulations, and cultural differences.

P.O.5. Integrate information and maintenance technologies into professional practice and research.

P.O.6. Manage problems encountered in the patient care process using lifelong learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
